Marriage and a Commercial Art company.

During her third year at the O.C.A. Belle met Hugh Swartz.  Hugh had just returned from his service in WWII as a navigator in the Ferry Command.  Hugh worked eagerly to become a fine commercial artist.  He started Windsor Art Studios Ltd. on King Street West when he finished college.  Hugh and Belle married soon after college.  As well as raising the family, Belle worked with her husband Hugh and designed consumer packages, black and white newspaper layout advertisements, designed record covers, food and wine labels, and rendered floor plans for real estate firms.  Clients include Yardley cosmetics, Avon, Revlon, Goodyear Tires, Allan Chocolates, Walker Press, Hallmark, Disney, and Dominion Box.
