Many artists start painting religious themes in their final years. In 1996 Belle started a series of religious sketches and paintings and a revival of studies in Greek Mythology. Belle hosted her final art show in Toronto in November 2005 and passed away shortly thereafter.
Belle Swartz was a very influential artist in her life and still continues to inspire artists today.
