Canada’s Provincial Flowers

In the 1990’s Belle revisited the Provincial Flowers with another series of sketches and large oil palette knife paintings.  Both of Belle’s flower series included the Madonna Lily for Quebec.  Quebec changed their official flower to the Blue Flag or Wild Iris in 1999.  Nunavut did not have a provincial flower when Belle painted her series.
